The Dream

      The sun was shining softly
      on the colored windows
      where I used
to piece the broken glass together
      when the rain had gone
and the sun was shining softly.

But its raining on me now,
and the glass is falling slowly
      through my bleeding fingers,
      while I stand
      to watch the rainbows fall
      beside the stillness
      of the falling rain.

And I turned to look to you,
      as I tried
      to tie my words together
      softly in my mind.
But the world dissolved in darkness
      before my closing eyes,
      as I lost myself again
      to the stillness
      of the falling glass,

      the rain,

      and sleep.
