I have always
thought how nice you are,
But never had the opportunity
to tell you so.
Friends come
and friends go
but somehow you
have always been sitting there
in the periphery of my vision.
There is little
I can offer you tonight
but the golden glow
I hold in my heart
And the silver vision
of my soul.
I hope
that you can take
this simple friendship
for what it is
and allow me
a glimpse into
that brightly coloured window
that is you.
